That's because we sell silver in $1,000 face value quantities, so if we have to hold it for a while until we accumulate $1,000 worth, we run the risk of silver dropping in price. To protect us against such a price drop, we have to pay less up front when we buy less than $1,000 in face value at a time. Thanks for understanding!
